Ask a Librarian

Whether you are getting started on your research or feeling stuck, finding good information will be easier if you ask a librarian. Think Helmke! when you need a skilled information specialist.

Ask a Librarian in Person

A research consulting session with a reference librarian will help you find the information you need quickly, or help you develop the skills and resources you need to explore more deeply. Call 260-481-6505 or come to the Service Desk to schedule an appointment at a time convenient for you.

IM a Librarian

IM instant messaging reference service provides a convenient desktop solution for getting past minor roadblocks in your research. Available whenever our IM chat icon shows in full color. Use our IM service anonymously or with your IPFW e-mail to contact the library for just-in-time service.

E-mail a Librarian

E-mail can be an easy way to handle some of your research questions and it is always a good place to start. If your research becomes complicated, a librarian will be happy to follow up with a phone call or set a time to meet with you in person.

Phone a Librarian

Put the library on your contact list! Call us at 260-481-6505 during regular library hours. When you call, an information assistant at the Service Desk will transfer you to a librarian if one is available. If not, leave a message and we will call you back, or you can make an appointment to come in at your convenience.
